Louise Brown aka. Starlagurl

Welcome to February! This year is proving to be an exciting one for TravelPod. We’ve developed a new application for Bebo users, introduced improved search features, reorganized the forums and even had time for coffee with a couple of our bloggers in Boston.

I’ve also picked 10 of the best discussion forum topics and interviewed the most prolific Traveler IQ player, a woman named Eve who lives in Long Island. Read on for more…

Eve Rehn: Traveler IQ Fanatic

Eve Rehn, Traveler IQ addict

People worldwide are playing Traveler IQ, TravelPod's addictive geography game more than 4 million times per month. Eve Rehn, 48, is the most prolific player of the game. She has been playing it daily for about two months. So far, she has logged more than 9,000 games. "I'm a very extreme person," Rehn says, "it's all or nothing."

Boston Blogger Meet Up

Kevin, Josh and Shaun

When I found out the TravelPod whole team was going to Boston for a conference, I decided to host an informal, drop-in meetup for some Massachusetts bloggers. So Shaun McQuaker, one of our web developers and I went down to the Espresso Royale on Newbury St. to meet Josh Bloomer, a rockstar, big fan of India and motorcycle aficionado and Kevin Eldridge, a European backpacker and exchange student.

It was really cool to meet people who are as psyched about traveling as I am. We talked about where we've been, where we plan on going, over some delicious chai tea. Why not plan your own traveler meetup in our forums?

TravelPod Search Sorting

Another long requested feature was just pushed out. We’ve just released a new feature that now allows search results for blogs to be sorted by date or quality so that you can track the latest blogs, photos and videos for a specific destination.

Here are a few example pages where you can test it out ( look for the new “Sort by” option )
